The number of T-shirts you’ll need for your quilt depends on the size of your quilt and your T-shirts’ graphics.
Since every T-shirt is different, we can’t provide an exact number until we see them. Large designs or T-shirts with graphics on both sides mean you’ll need fewer T-shirts, while small logos or one-sided designs require more.
Our general estimates are a great starting point. Think of your T-shirts as a whole, not as separate fronts and backs. If your T-shirts have large designs, stick to the low end of the range. If they have smaller designs aim for the high end.
A well-made T-shirt quilt is expensive. If someone tells you they can make one for a lot less, be wary. They probably aren't making the same type and style of T-shirt quilt we are. Here are 4 factors to compare.
A blanket costs a fraction the price of a quilt — because they aren't the same thing! We only make quilts.
