Since 1992, we have innovated and challenged the status quo.
And what came out of that bag wasn’t just a quilt—it was a challenge to the status quo.
That first quilt broke every rule at the time:
From those three simple but radical shifts, Too Cool T-shirt Quilts was born.
And it didn’t stop there.
What began as one breakthrough method has lead to a number of different T-shirt quilt styles - including the stained-glass style.
Now there is the Ultra Modern method. This methodology let's the T-shirt quilt maker push the boundaries of what a T-shirt quilt can be.
We’ve been saying it since day one:
“There is a better way to make a T-shirt quilt.”
Andrea Funk is the founder of Too Cool T-shirt Quilts and the inventor of the multi-size block, puzzle-style T-shirt quilt. She made her first quilt when she was 5 years old and has been making T-shirt quilts professionally since 1992.
Andrea’s background in communications, graphic design, quilting, and teaching helped shape the Too Cool method. She is also the author of How to Make a Too Cool Style T-shirt Quilt and created a video series teaching the method.
